The Lewiston Independent Foundation for Education, Inc. (LIFE), mobilizes support from parents, businesses and the community to improve public education in Lewiston, Idaho.
LIFE exists to raise, manage and distribute private resources for the benefit of the students and schools of the Lewiston Independent School District No. 1.
Our primary objective is to raise unrestricted endowments that can be invested for the long-term benefit of the school district.

There are seven elementary schools, two junior high schools, one alternative school and one high school in the Lewiston School District.
